Commodore 64
The Commodore 64 is an 8-bit home computer released by Commodore International in January, 1982, at a price of $595.00 USD.
This was basically my first computer thanks to my grandparents. After all these years, I still own my C64 and guest what? It still works too.
They purchased it at K-Mart for me as a Christmas present back in 1983.
I have a box full of game cartridges and floppy disks as well. I’m still going through them but will document them on the site soon.
Here is my Commodore 64, complete in the box like the day I got it back in the early 1980′s:

Check it out, it’s up and running, complete with a working 1541 disk drive and Commodore 1702 color monitor:

I even own a KoalaPad Touch Tablet complete in the box. It’s basically like a Wacom Tablet but back in the early 1980′s:

Now here is a real treat, a picture of me that was scanned out of a news paper from back in 1984 that my grandma clipped out of the paper:

Back then I ran a BBS on my Commodore 64 and for a kid that was only 11 or 12 at the time, the local paper thought it was pretty cool and did a story on me.
Before you ask, no I don’t have a mullet in the picture, it’s a shadow on the wall. Mullets didn’t happen until much later, maybe 1988 or so
