Atari 2600 Heavy Sixer

My Atari 2600 Heavy Sixer is a Sunnyvale, California model with serial number 82393E. Looking at the sticker on the RF unit inside the machine it reads CA010410 on top and below that it says 273S7726. From what I’ve heard that means it was made the 26th week of 1977. It’s also the 1 channel model.

My grandparents purchased the Atari 2600 new in 1977. I was 5 years old at the time, I’m now in my 30′s.

In early March 2002 my grandfather passed away and my grandma asked me if I wanted it – of course I said yes.

Until receiving the Atari Heavy Sixer, I was using my 4-switch and Sears Tele-Games Video Arcade (Sears branded Heavy Sixer), both of which are modified with S-Video and composite video and audio.
